Welcome to the
CHANEL TENNIS CLUB
in Vava'u!

Meet all members and players of our small club.

Our tenniscourt is located at Chanel College in Neiafu.

We do not have a club-house or any place where we can meet after a game or before we start our games - which is mainly on Saturdays, when everybody has some free time.

All of us have to share only one tenniscourt. Not only that - the "court" is in a terrible condition and we all try to raise some money so we can build a better court and maybe, one day, even build a second court.

Professional workshop, November 2009

For the first time ever, October 16, 17 + 19, 2009, a professional tennis workshop came to Vava'u. To teach tennis players to become tennis teacher. Dave Godinet, a native of American Samoa, who was send by ITF to conduct the workshop. Iasinito J. Hausia, a United States Professional Tennis Registry, coordinated the event in Vava'u. Iasinito J. Hausia teamed up with his long time friend Dave Godinet, and ran one of the most professional, fun, exciting workshop in Vava'u. We learn so much, we will be able to help our own skills, but also teach others. This will definitely grow tennis in the Island of Vava'u.

Dave, from American Samoa, (in the middle down left) was sent by the ITF to lead this workshop in Vava'u.

Nito assisted him and together they continued conducting more workshops in Tongatapu before returning to American Samoa.

At the end of the workshop all who had attended it came together for this photo (the small kids strongly support their dad..)
